Bluebells, deer, butterflies, ospreys, migrant woodland birds, adders and grass snakes.
Members free but non-members of Hay Bridge will be expected to make a donation. (This may be done by the society from the donations collected on the day)

Pied and Spotted Flycatchers, redstart, cuckoo, butterflies, flora and fauna & red squirrels.

Hutton Roof with Claire Harris following on from the talk in December on the Green Recovery Morecambe Bay Woodlands Project we will have a guided walk around the work they have done in the morning and then learn some woodcraft skills in the afternoon.
Meet at WI 9.00am or 9.30am at top of Clawthorpe Road where path to Farleton Fell crosses road at SD552788 (What3words ///stir.sneezing.songs)
They will set a moth trap to open at the start. Bring packed lunch and walking shoes.
Option to just do morning or afternoon, please let MJ know if you are coming for afternoon only as we will need to meet you to take you to the site. 15-minute walk.

Sefton Coast with Trevor Davenport. Following on from Trevor’s talk in January 2021 we will meet at beach car park near sands lake in Ainsdale at 10.30am then a walk to the Green Beach to see flora, Northern Dune Tiger moth and birds. In the afternoon we will walk from the discovery centre to see bee orchids, marsh orchids and other dune flowers, with butterflies, dragonflies and birds finish about 4.30pm. Trevor will run his moth trap.
Meet WI 8.30 car share where possible 72 miles and car park is £10. Go to Ainsdale near Southport, aiming towards Pontins Southport holiday home, take shore road down to the beach, there is a pay kiosk, go through onto the beach then turn left and go along the beach 1/3 mile until you come to fence park there and we will walk around dunes.

Meathop & Foulshaw Mosses with Pete Stevens. Meet W.I. at 9:30am or Foulshaw Moss car park

Targets, White faced darter and Large Heath.
Lunch at Latterbarrow then on to Meathop Moss.
Meet at the CWT FOULSHAW MOSS car park off the A590 at 10.00am....best to approach from the east but beware the short notice (CWT sign) to make the left turn off this fast road.
We plan to have our packed lunch at the nearby CWT Latterbarrow reserve (SD 440 828), old road by the side of the Derby Arms (5 min drive) with its wonderful wild-flowers and freshly emerged Northern Brown Argus butterflies before visiting Meathop Moss CWT nature reserve (SD 447 820) another five min away by car.
Note walking at Foulshaw and Meathop is on the level.
(Best to car share from Latterbarrow as very limited car parking at Meathop.)

Wildlife garden – follow up to Alison McLeod’s winter talk on the development of their wildlife garden. Moth traps will be set the night before.

Please Park on Hollins Lane (near the Wolf house café) or on Lindeth road and walk to the garden. Do not drive into Ridgeway Park
Directions: Take the lane which leads from Gibraltar Farm towards Jenny Brown's Point.
Come in through the gates of Ridgeway Park (ignore the private signs), then immediately take the gravel track on the right which leads to the Sun House.
