Richard Miller, warden of RSPB Leighton Moss, will give a talk on the state of the reserve and the work being carried out now and planned for the future to improve the habitats.

Talk by Joe Clements on the wildlife project/s at Lowther.
Thursday 14th November 2024 7.30 pm
Ian Brodie will give us a talk about his travels to India. “Wildlife on the Indian Subcontinent”
Thursday 12th December 2024 7.00 pm
The evening will start with a Jacob’s join social event. The doors will open at 6.30 pm to allow time for you to set up your food to share. It will be a chance for you to catch up with friends old and new. Mulled wine will be available for a donation to cover costs.
Talk starts at 8.00 pm. Paul Waterhouse of the Cumbria Wildlife Trust will give a talk on the Ospreys at Foulshaw, including some information on their wintering in the Gambia.

“Bears, Beavers and Bustards; How nature restoration is possible, and happening now.” In this illustrated talk author Karen Lloyd will be talking about her book, 'Abundance: Nature in Recovery,' and the projects and places she visits across Europe from Scotland and the Lake District to Romania to show how people are working to restore nature and the places where nature is doing it for itself.'

Richard Jefferson will give a talk on his trip to Indonesia titled 'The Natural History of Sulawesi and the northern Moluccas'.

Martin Wain of Butterfly Conservation will talk about activities in the National Landscape and further afield to help with butterfly conservation.
Thursday 10th April 2025 7.30 pm
The AGM will be followed by a presentation by the Arnside Biodiversity Group on the Gardening for Wildlife survey and its outcomes and future progress.
