Message from Bryan below :-
We will start by doing the climb up to Burton Fell (20-30mins). I must warn you that some of the areas on Burton Fell are loose limestone boulders and can be very dangerous to anyone who may not be too steady. I want to try and stress this so that you get some idea. Hopefully on the way up I can show you a "White variety" of Self Heal. Once on the Orchid grounds I am hoping I can show you lots of nice variety within the atrorubens and possibly a hybrid. I also want to point out that there are orchids everywhere and we must try and be careful to just where we stand, but I am sure we will be OK. So we will spend a hour or two on the orchids, then carry on across and into Lancelot, checking out more orchids and hopefully the Montanum (Pale St. Johns) and checking lots of other stuff before making our way across to the lower part of Lancelot to check out the Birds Foot Sedge (carex ornithopodia). Then we will make our way back across into Burton and back to the cars.
